Cinema4D + Octane is lots of fun. But haven't made any profits, so using trial versions.
($2500 is a bit expensive for a hobby for code monkey freelancer dude who's 8 timezones away from his main market. Of course, if I had a 1-2 month project that required working with this stuff: company expenses ahoy.)
